Everything about Arnamagn An Codex totally explained

The Arnamagnæan codex (The Arnamagnæan Manuscript Collection) (Danish: Den Arnamagnæanske Håndskriftsamling, Icelandic Handritasafn Árna Magnússonar) is the collection of manuscripts assembled by Árni Magnússon (1663-1730). He was an Icelander who was a professor at the University of Copenhagen, which was the only university for Denmark, Norway and Iceland at that time. He was a passionate scholar of Icelandic and Scandinavian history and created the by-far-largest collection of Icelandic MSs.
As of 2007, the Arnamagnæan Manuscript Collection is the property of the Copenhagen University Library with the Arnamagnæan commission being the administrative body and the Arnamagnæan Collection the studies institute which also houses the collection.
